Hi my name is nick, I have now opened a tattoo shop in Brandon Suffolk, I have been open now for about 7 months and since I opened the shop it has really taken off, I started tattooing at the age of 18, self taught myself to tattoo and really owe a lot of this to my dad god bless him everyone knew him as judo george in Brandon, he really inspired me, as I used to felt tip my mates tattoos at school and at home, he always said I should be a tattooist, at the age of 18 I bought my first tattoo kit, started tattooing from my flat and then from the back of nolans café in Brandon, tattooing then wasn’t so demanding, after a while I gave it up and went to become a welder and then had numerous jobs, some jobs I enjoyed but as the years went on I felt as if I was a number and working for someone else I didn’t get any satisfaction, after being made redundant I didn’t know what to do and it was only looking at the different tattoos and the whole way that tattooing had changed, the details the colour and the art work that had gone into them, made me realise, that’s what I wanted to do again! |
